What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a Senior Content Analyst to produce high-quality, data-driven website content and editorial pages to help growing businesses make the right software choices. As a senior content analyst, you will be responsible for growing traffic to our sites and improving user engagement by delivering on-site content about business software and technology trends.

Working as part of Gartner Digital Markets, you will have access to vast amounts of software user data and market analysis to help you create great content. 

What You Will Do:

We are looking for an expert in HR software. This means you need to know your market, providers, trends, management practices, etc., and be able to see the forest and the trees. Candidates should have/be able to:

Dissect dense, complex information and make sense of it for consumption

Leverage user data insights and proprietary research to create webpages and reports for business software buyers.

Deliver on-time, high-quality, and engaging content to ensure we meet the needs of our target audience (small to midsize businesses).

Collaborate with the Editing team to guarantee the highest quality and compliance. 

​​Master the HR software markets/categories (which include, but are not limited to, Performance Management Systems, Employee Scheduling, Learning Management Systems, Time Tracking, and Payroll) by understanding the challenges businesses face, the products in the space, the latest developments in the market, and writing authoritatively with actionable advice for businesses.

Knowledge of other key software markets, such as Sales, Accounting, Marketing, Retail, Project Management, or IT security, is a plus.  

Understand the important issues growing businesses face in their selection and adoption of information technology.

Tailor your content to specific buyer personas within those software markets/categories.

Collaborate with the marketing and PR team to craft research that will attract interest from trade and relevant media publications. 

Perform interviews with real professionals to illustrate challenges and solutions in the market and provide support in media activations via activities such as the recording of podcasts or videos

Foster industry relationships, connect with experts in your topic, and attend industry-focused speaking events.

Adhere to brand voice and style guidelines

Work with creative and marketing teams to create engaging multimedia content

What you’ll bring to the team:

A native level of English.

A proficiency level in other languages (such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, or Italian) is a plus.

A passion for technology, ideally with a background in IT or tech journalism.

Strong research and analytical skills, specifically in business software and technology trends.

Exceptional writing skills across different content topics and formats

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Strong understanding of Excel

Understanding of SEO principles and tools

Strong sense of ownership and ‘get-it-done’ attitude

Preferred Bachelor's Degree and/or professional qualification(s) in language and literature, journalism, linguistics, philology, business, or a related field.

3-5 years of past writing and interviewing experience preferred

Interest in technology and how it can help small businesses

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 98,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
