About the Role:

A day in the life: Our Restoration Technician is ready for an adventure! They thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for restoring structures to ensure structural integrity, safety, and aesthetic appeal. This would be completed on various concrete surfaces. This position will work as part of a team to complete tasks such as power washing, concrete demo, concrete restoration, small concrete pours, miscellaneous construction projects, floor repairs and coatings, media blasting, and steel painting. This is a travel-heavy field position, so if you enjoy working on the road and have the hands-on skills to bring structures back to life, this job is for you.

On a given day, as a Restoration Technician, you will:

  • Pressure washing, contaminant removal, and surface prep to ensure proper adhesion of materials.
  • Install strengthening measures like rebar for concrete structures.
  • Wet/dry cutting, prepping, grinding, and applying coating systems to concrete slabs.
  • Blasting and coating of structural steel components.
  • Patch, repair cracks, and refinish surfaces using epoxy injections, shotcrete applications, and other techniques.
  • Skillfully restore concrete surfaces or apply new finishes according to project requirements.
  • Mix repair materials (epoxies, mortars, coatings) according to project specifications and apply them with precision to ensure high-quality finishes.
  • Operate power tools, grinders, mixers, and other heavy equipment used in the restoration process. Perform routine maintenance and ensure tools are in proper working condition.
  • Adhere to company work safety policies.
  • Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned.

Schedule & Travel:

This is a full-time Monday through Friday position with some weekend work on a job-to-job basis. This division works day and night shift hours. This department typically works an average of ten- to-twelve-hour days.

The qualified candidate we seek is a Restoration Technician with these QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Driver’s License & Auto Insurance: Required for this travel-intensive role.
  • 1-2 years of experience in pressure washing, coating systems, or as a Restoration Tech in a related field.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for 8–10 hours daily.
  • 1-2 years of understanding of mechanical systems, especially related to the tools and equipment used in concrete restoration (e.g., pressure washers, grinders, mixers).
  • Willingness to work in varying conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, humidity, dust, and concrete.
  • Strong coordination and dexterity to manage precision tasks.

And these COMPETENCIES:

  • Tool and Material Selection: Skilled in operating and maintaining various tools, including grinders, pressure washers, concrete saws, mixers, and media blasting equipment.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic understanding of measurements, calculations, and ratios involved in concrete mixing, patching, and repair.
  • Compliance and Standards Adherence: Strict adherence to industry standards and safety guidelines when performing restoration tasks.
  • Manual Dexterity and Coordination: Exceptional hand-eye coordination to handle tools, apply finishes, and execute detailed repairs in tight spaces or awkward positions.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, supporting and assisting colleagues as needed to achieve collective project goals.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility in adapting to changing business needs and schedules.
  • Professionalism: Upholds a professional demeanor, exhibiting reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Additional Qualifications Desired:

  • Ability to operate larger equipment: Skidsteers, scissor lifts, telehandlers, wheel loaders, excavators, and forklifts.
  • Familiarity with epoxy, polyurethane, and other industrial-grade coatings applied to concrete and steel surfaces.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and work environments, including varying job sites, weather conditions, and tasks.
