ABOUT THIS ROLE Audible's Quality Assurance organization promotes product quality, and organizational quality ownership thru well-defined measurable processes, comprehensive quality assessment and identification of risk. In addition, the organization provides tools and infrastructure needed to support agile feature delivery, improve quality and increase engineer productivity. The team includes Quality Assurance Engineers, Quality Assurance Technicians and Software Engineers working side by side with Software Development Engineers, Product Managers, User Experience, and Customer Support staff to understand features, bugs, customer usage, and technical implementation to deliver high quality products to our customers. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will... - Execute test strategy, test plans, and test cases while utilizing automated tools to optimize the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) - Perform exploratory testing, automating repetitive tasks, and collaborating with software development engineers to deliver high-quality products to Audible customers - Review user interfaces for conformity and functionality - Efficiently execute test cases across all functional and UI areas of our products - Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs until resolution - Measure, interpret, and report testing results, advocating for quality at every phase of the development process - Implement QA strategy and drive product quality processes for one of Audible's cross-surface QA teams - Review designs and architecture to draft automation test plans, identify limitations and dependencies, and propose recommendations - Write test plans and cases, performing manual and automated testing - Collaborate with the development team to ensure high-quality releases - Report test status to peers, management, and stakeholders in a clear and consistent manner - Drive automation coverage to increase penetration - Generate metrics and insights to improve development practices with a focus on quality - Review technical requirements, software design specifications, and software implementation for evaluation and feedback ABOUT AUDIBLE Audible is the leading producer and provider of audio storytelling. The base pay for this position ranges from $75,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $183,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
