The UW PCRC team is a central department resource that supports clinical research across multiple divisions in the Department of Pediatrics. The OnCore Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting institution and department level research efforts by ensuring that clinical trials are conducted efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.

The Department of Pediatrics OnCore Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive management and support of the OnCore Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS). This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and compliant execution of clinical research studies by streamlining and automating processes within the OnCore system. The specialist will work closely with the PCRC team as well as Principal Investigators, research coordinators, and administrative staff across the department to build and maintain OnCore records and consult on OnCore functionalities and requirements. Additionally, they will utilize OnCore reports to update key personnel on study status and metrics.

Responsibilities: Plans, analyzes, manages, coordinates, and tracks projects and quality improvement efforts for processes, procedures, and systems. Provides management consulting to improve organizational results.
  • 40% Develops, schedules, coordinates, and prioritizes project work plans in accordance with specifications and resource limitations
  • 20% Develops, enhances, and maintains operational standards and systems to support project teams
  • 20% Analyzes data and trends, compiles progress reports, and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions
  • 10% Establishes, monitors, coordinates, and controls project budgets versus actual expenditures and budget reporting
  • 10% Serves as the initial point of contact for the project(s), serves on committees, and attends meetings representing the interests of the project(s)

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in using OnCore or similar CTMS
- Strong understanding of clinical trial processes
- Experience working with pediatrics in a research or clinical setting
- Experience working with both investigator initiated, and industry sponsored clinical trials
- Familiarity with research billing compliance

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

The starting salary for the position is $63,000 but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
