JOB SUMMARY:
HVAC Project Manager is responsible for the coordination, planning, scheduling and execution and completion of all assigned commercial/industrial projects. Coordination of manpower, material, equipment and subcontractors, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Coordinate field hiring, training, motivation, and termination of field technicians as required. Assures compliance with safety policies, conducts safety meetings, and coordinates safety training programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Strengthens customer relationships.
HVAC experience
Documents technical requirements, develops and implements project plans and facilitates efficient implementation of work scope.
Manage and coordinate field manpower with project requirements.
Understands contracts, prepares estimates, change orders and proposals for customers.
Mentor technicians and foster a learning and growth environment.
Meet with inspectors at job sites for field inspections.
Coaching and managing of people in a team-based environment.
Communicates on a regular basis with the customer and builds a relationship of trust.
Protects the company by identifying and avoiding risk.
Documents job progress, changes, delays submittal's, RFI's etc.
Responsible for controlling the financial position of the project including billings, change orders and managing material and sub-contractors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: HVAC Project Manager
* Experience must be with a self-perform MECHANICAL contractor and have demonstrated ability managing the overall labor efforts.
* The candidate must have 5+ years of experience in New Construction/ Retro Construction with a background in mechanical process piping and advanced plumbing systems.
* Past project size should exceed $2 million
* Fully capable with management controls (i.e., schedules, cost control, procurement and quality/safety) facilitated during project execution.
* Must have problem solving skills and be completely familiar with mechanical and plumbing system installation and operation.
QUALIFICATIONS: HVAC Project Manager
Experience in managing 10 to 15 people and multiple projects
Relies on limited experience and judgment of retrofit, new construction and design build
Knowledge of building plans
Ability to communicate with Engineers, Project Managers, and General Contractors
Pipefitting experience a plus
