This is a unique opportunity to work directly with employees in a hands-on, educational role that promotes health, safety, and injury prevention at both the individual and population level. Ideal for professionals with a background in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or other related wellness fields.
Title : Health and Injury Prevention Coach
Location : South Brunswick, NJ
Schedule : 16 hours/week (exact days/times to be determined)
Employment Type : Part-Time
Whole Population and Individual Injury Prevention Coaching
Conduct proactive daily site walks to engage employees in safe work practices and promote a culture of mindfulness and injury prevention.
Provide individual coaching to help employees recognize early signs of musculoskeletal discomfort and support conservative self-management, behavior modification, or appropriate referral.
Identify ergonomic or movement-based risks and coach employees on safe lifting, posture, stretching, and daily movement techniques to reduce workplace injuries.
Educate employees on continuous improvement principles to reduce injuries and promote ongoing body awareness.
Maintain consistent follow-up with employees to reinforce injury prevention strategies and support long-term behavior change.
Team Collaboration and Documentation
Collaborate with on-site vendors and interdisciplinary teams to align on safety and wellness efforts.
Complete all required client-facing documentation, reports, and internal data entry accurately and on time.
Ensure employee privacy and confidentiality during all consults and in all data recorded.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Experience in musculoskeletal wellness, ergonomics, or injury prevention preferred
Must be comfortable engaging with employees across all job roles and activity levels
