Purpose of Role

The Graphic Design Manager – Team Sports is critical in bringing Under Armour sport-moments to life on uniforms, apparel, and accessories. Working closely with Design leadership, he/she/they will lead a function of the Team Sports Design Group from creative development (ideation) to final execution (production). This role will be able to work on all sport-uniform categories, retail sporting apparel, and professional & collegiate athlete outfitting.

Your Impact

  • Produce cutting-edge uniform designs reflecting Under Armour’s position as a worldwide leader in on-field outfitting (football, basketball, diamond sports, soccer, olympic sports)
  • Prepare and present conceptual ideas based on sport-culture, fan insight and athlete-trend
  • Design and deliver pinnacle apparel sideline assortments for athlete and coach-wearing
  • Develop graphics & branding systems for Under Armour & key partners (collegiate & professional teams)
  • Create seasonal apparel graphics for key retailers as well as licensed collegiate graphics
  • Manage, guide, and mentor a team of fellow designers. fostering a collaborative and inclusive workspace
  • Strategize and implement a design ethos focused on product innovation and sport disruption
  • Organize and lead seasonal product presentations, with both internal and external partners
  • Collaborate across multiple UA job-functions, including Product Managers, Marketing, Apparel Design and Apparel Development & Materials
  • Demonstrate flexibility/adaptability, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task projects within overlapping and often tight timelines

Qualifications

  • A strong design-vision in branding & identity and uniform graphic application
  • Passion for story-telling and the ability to translate concepts into unique sport moments
  • Love for sport and athletic performance product
  • A self-motivator with an ability to inspire and create fearlessly
  • Meticulous attention to detail with an emphasis on clean work-flow and design file management
  • Experience multi-tasking under tight deadlines while not sacrificing design quality and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable operating in large and small presentation settings
  • A team player who is equally adept at working independently and in a dynamic team environment
  • An advanced understanding of apparel manufacturing, development, and textile decoration
  • 7+ years of relevant graphic & branding / uniform-apparel design experience
  • Experience leading and managing a direct report
  • BA, BFA in Graphic Design or Product Design
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, Maryland office.
  • Work Schedule:  This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 3 days in-office per week through September 5, 2025. Beginning September 8, 2025, the in-office requirement will increase to 4 days per week.

  • Relocation may be provided up to a specified amount

Base Compensation

$97,701.00 - $134,339.70 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
