Job Description

Team Carney, a dynamic performance and professional development provider, is seeking an Air Traffic Control and Weather Radar Systems Manager to support a government contract related to Airspace, Ranges and Airfield operations.   
This position is onsite in Hampton Virginia.   
This position requires an active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities:
  1. Adhere to the guidance as set forth in applicable DoD/AF regulations. 

  1. Ensure Air Traffic Control and weather radar technical management support requirements comply with legal and regulatory requirements. 

  1. Implement AF policies and objectives as they pertain to maintenance of radar and information systems. 

  1. Assist with the execution of requirements of fixed base and deployable ATC and meteorological systems in support of ACC, Air National Guard, Federal Aviation Administration, National Weather Service, and National Airspace System. 

  1. Coordinate with subordinate units to make recommendations to adjust short-term priorities and prepare required schedules. 

  2. Coordinate staff packages with other directorates and subordinate units.
  3. Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for life cycle management, cost or projected plans/workload, efficiency, and economy of existing or proposed ATC/meteorological radar systems, and resources. 

  4. Monitor all ATC/meteorological radar systems which are under development to support the ACC mission in areas of specifications, logistics provisioning, testing of prototypes, and technical data. Support personnel training, activities, and concerns for the Airfield Operations Branch’s area of responsibility to include logistics policy formulation and implementation. 

  5. Recommend evidence-based/data-driven courses of actions to achieve on-time and high quality solutions.  

  6. Assist in monitoring all aspects of ACC subordinate unit’s ATC and meteorological systems performance using Integrated Maintenance Data System. 

  7. Track subordinate units Time Compliance Technical Orders completion and documentation. 

  8. Monitor systems sustainment posture using AF logistics and supply programs and processes. 

  9. Assists in running reports through Management Internal Control Toolset and analyze for trends or support needs. 

Requirements:
  1. Active Secret security clearance. 
  2. Minimum 5 years experience maintaining ATC, specifically digital air surveillance radar and Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System and meteorological radar systems.  
  3. Minimum 3 years experience as 1C8 SNCO or GS equivalent.
  4. Minimum 2 years wing level or higher staff experience. 
  5. Minimum 2 years experience interpreting policy and guidance issued by HQ USAF and DOD.

The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time status. Part-time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represent the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of Team Carney's total compensation package for employees.
